For years, Rich NxT has been a part of London’s thriving electronic music scene. Through all the genre shifts and changes, Rich has been a continual presence on the DJ circuit, gracing the decks at almost every venue in the capital worth mentioning.

Playing out so regularly was the perfect grounding for Rich. As a long time music technology head, drummer, DJ and keyboardist, he amassed an array of invaluable experience and the all-important knowledge of what makes music stand-out and move people.

Rich’s impressive DJ sets did not fall on deaf ears and it wasn’t long before Rich became a resident for the then weekly Sunday party FUSE. A FUSE resident from the very beginning, Rich’s DJ sets explored the deeper shades of house and techno and his musical vision helped FUSE become the London institution it is today.

FUSE allowed Rich to quickly build a loyal following of discerning fans and it wasn’t long before he was drawing upon his technical background to find himself back in the studio working on his productions. With early EPs on Berlin’s Sonat Recordings, and a collaboration with Alex Jones on No.19 music, Rich continued to develop his trademark deep sound and 2011 saw him debut on the newly launched FUSE London label for their second ever release.

The ‘Bristle EP’ was closely followed by the ‘Gophers In The Cupboard EP’, which was released in 2012 alongside partner in crime and fellow Fuse resident Seb Zito. Following that was the ‘Substanance EP’ in 2013. These releases on FUSE London were met with critical acclaim and found favour in the record bags of many of the scenes biggest players, propelled Rich and his distinctly London sound to a much wider audience.

In his shows the boundaries between studio and performance are continuing to blur with Rich integrating more improvisation in his sets though the use of technology and calling upon his musical experience. Rich is set to continue 2013’s fine form with his Wasteline EP on FUSE London and a track with Seb Zito, on the fifth instalment of the Infuse series, both of which are set for early 2014, along with remixes for Friends of Ours featuring Robert Owens and Ben Rau. Be sure to keep a close eye on Rich NxT as he evolves to the next level.
