Biography

Denis was born and raised in Moscow, Russia. He is almost 29y.o. now. Despite his conservative upbringing and lack of any perspective in his life, he managed to escape Mother Land during his youth and and travel across Europe where he encountered all the western stereotypes of Russian folk. Not if they were not true, well, some of them were ANYWHO! Denis felt an urge to say something about it.

Being one of the first English-speaking stand-up comedians in Russia, Denis has developed his own style, quoting Sam Rhodes "old-fashioned perfomance, in a good way, with modern stuff". His sets incorporate his own angle on his numerous jobs (seriously, dude, where exactly the hell do you work), relationships, life in Russia in general and how Russians are percieved in the West. You might think that everything that is said by Western media can be applied to Denis as well but no! He is Russian, but he's a Bad Russian! And he will destroy those stereotypes about his native tribe like that Berlin wall. And prove some actually true.

He has toured across Europe twice, performing in more than 10 countries. He is one of the founding fathers of English Moscow Comedy and Comedy Heroes. This year he made his Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut with 22 solo shows and 38 extra performances on different showcases. He was live on BBC radio 5 breakfast show with Rachel Burden. He has headlined The Big Stand-Up Show with an audience of 500 and headlined Stand-Up Gala Show with 200 people. He also opened for Craig Campbell in Moscow in November of 2015.
