As Mamas are a 2 piece rock n roll band drone band from Evesham comprising Joe Devine on drums and Harrison Baird-Whitman on guitar and vox. They rehearse in a 1960's caravan and have been together for around 3 years. "The band’s set features a number of covers including a medley of The Stones 'Jumping Jack Flash' and Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition' and their own material
the best of which was ‘Ain’t It Sad’ which takes a swipe at Westminster parliamentarians. It’s good to see young bands writing lyrics with a bit of punch and I’d love to hear more of it. The highlight of the evening for me was their cover of ‘54-46 Was My Number’ by Toots and the Maytals. The band were totally invested in this and Harrison delivered his best and most animated vocal of the night" Herefordshire Live
