Biography

Alan Fitzpatrick emerged as a hot prospect within the techno scene towards the end of 2009. What ensued was a quick rise to DJ stardom. Releasing his debut album through Adam Beyer’s Drumcode label in 2010, he was the first act to do so on the label since 2005. Born in Southampton, Alan’s dad was a huge fan of Motown which led to him growing up on the sounds of funk and soul.

After doing some more searching he discovered rave and acid house scenes that led him towards the path of becoming a techno DJ. He worked at his craft for years before going ahead with launching a career. Known for his hard graft, it wasn’t too long before he was a huge name on the techno scene.

He’s released singles through Bedrock, Reflections, Cocoon and Hotflush alongside his work with Drumcode. He’s become an in-demand remixer and worked with the likes of Roisin Murphy and Leftfield. An intimidating presence behind the decks, Fitzpatrick has conquered the world with appearances pretty much everywhere and also had a residency at London’s Fabric.

Loved by the crowds for his playful demeanour, he’s had many festival hits such as the anthemic ‘We Do What We Want’ which was launched by his own label We Are The Brave.
