MRKO is an LA based Progressive House producer and DJ who’s productions draw inspiration from Lane 8, Camelphat, Gorgon City, Disclosure and Kasablanca. He’s is supported by Austin Kramer and The Disco Fries and has released on Blanco y Negro and Elliptical Sun Recordings. His single, “Dark Ocean” ranked #4 in the Beatport Progressive House Hype 100. At an early age he fell in love with The Police, James Brown and Parliament Funkadelic, but later made the switch to electronic music after discovering Blog House artists such as MSTRKRFT, Justice and The Bloody Beetroots. Previously he toured under the moniker Materializer including a performance at South by Southwest.
