Since they first crossed paths in a Liverpool record shop, Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala have been on a non-stop path to tech house stardom. Having initially gained fame as disc jockeys in the city and their respective work as part of acts like Rezonance Q and Ultrabeat, the pair began releasing music under the name Camelphat in the 2010s.

It wasn’t until 2017’s ‘Cola’ with Elderbrook that the masses began to lap Camelphat up. Whelan and Di Scala continued to trickle out addictive hits throughout the next couple of years, from their remix of Au/Ra’s ‘Panic Room’ to ‘Breathe’ with Cristophe and Jem Cooke. Before long, their 2020 debut LP Dark Matter smashed through the charts, affirming that any Camelphat tour from now on will be a must-see.

The duo draws upon a shared encyclopaedic knowledge of dance music to add their golden touch, whether it’s on their own tracks or remixes for other acclaimed artists.
