Download Festival 2008
The UK's biggest, loudest and coolest rock and metal festival kicks off
the major weekend festival calendar for 2008. Three days full of
distortion fuelled fury from some of the world's most important names
in rock music riff out at the even more legendary venue Donington Park.
The
likes of Metallica, Guns 'N Roses, System Of A Down, Slayer, The
Prodigy, Korn, Black Sabbath, Slipknot, Trivium, My Chemical Romance,
Iron Maiden and Tool have all helped define the festival during its
five year history with the lineup arguably getting better every time.
Fans
can mosh down the front of the pit at the three main stages, chill out
and watch BMX stunts whilst catching new and emerging talent at the
Soul Bowl, go on the fair rides, peruse the market stalls, or even
watch a film at the cinema.
There's also five-a-side football,
campsite parties, and loads of side attractions, with the organisers
always keen to bring something new into the equation.
