Wychwood Music Festival in Cheltenham - 30th May- 1st June
Wychwood
Festival aims to build on the success of its first three years, and
returns on Friday 30th May to Sunday 1st June for 2008.
The very family-friendly Wychwood aims to be intimate and inclusive for
audience and musician alike, blending world, roots and contemporary
music, and encouraging new collaborations, with an ethical bent to its
theme, fundraising for Oxfam. There's also comedy, workshops, and more.
Headliners on Friday night is The Proclaimers, Saturday is The Divine
Comedy, and Sunday is Simon Emmersons folk collaboration The Imagined
Village. Other confirmations are Dreadzone, Robyn Hitchcock and
Friends, Spiers and Boden, Kissmet, Duffy, Emma Pollock, Rachel Unthank
& The Winterset, Kate Rusby, The Blockheads, Miles Hunt & Erica
Nockalls, 3 Daft Monkeys, Mistys Big Adventure, Palladium, Piney Gir
& The Country Roadshow, and Oxford band The Epstein.
