Built 1605 & for many years served as a hunting lodge. Extended 1850 to create a wealthy family home, later used as tea rooms for travelers & finally a bar/hotel. Some staff have been more than spooked by ghostly sightings of a woman on the stairs & young boy in the function room where voices speaking Latin have been heard. Cleaners have been grabbed by the ankles in bedrooms that when empty harbor muffled laughter.
