Lineup and details for Songs in the Park on Saturday 22nd August 2009
Talented stars from the West End are to perform at this year's Songs in the Park; sell-out musical theatre show Beyond the Barricade. The show has been added as a special date of the Beyond the Barricades 10th anniversary tour which is visiting prestigious venues around the UK. Beyond the Barricade will excite the audience with classic songs from such shows as Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King and We Will Rock You.
This exciting event just keeps getting better; it is free! Picnics and chairs are more than welcome however we ask not to bring any glass. There will be some great food stalls for those who prefer to travel light!
Parking near the park is extremely limited, so we're recommending people walk or take public transport. Crow Nest Park is only a 5 minute walk from Dewsbury train station; there will be signs along the route so you don't get lost. We'll also be offering free shuttle buses from the train station.
What next? Keep Saturday 22nd August free in your diary and come to Crow Nest Park to enjoy a good old fashioned sing along to the well known West End favourites!
The show kicks off at 7.30pm, and no ticket is needed!
