Known for his solos on tracks such as Lisa Stansfields “Change”, M-Peoples “Search For A Hero” and “Moving On Up” and Take Thats “A Million Love Songs”.  Snake Davis has played and recorded with artists ranging from James Brown to Paul McCartney, The Eurythmics to Amy Winehouse – having recorded on more than 400 tracks in recent years for over 60 artists and played live with dozens more.

 

A dedication on the inside cover of Snake Davis’s new album says, ‘We all really hope that this music will make you close your eyes and drift off from the crazy busy lives we lead’.  This is music for a summer evening. There’s a warmth in the production and soul in the playing. The styles are a melting pot of jazz, latin, soul and  an African jazz groove Great playing all round, but at the heart of this album is Snake Davis and his saxophone, soulful, melodic, inspired.
