Celebrating the launch of their new live cd, In Concert Live 1997 2011 andUktour, this concert is a rare opportunity to catch Jacqui McShees Pentangle in an intimate atmosphere.
Pentangle are a British Folk Rock band with some folk jazz influences. Formed in the late 60s and with an amazing 12 albums and 18 compilations released to date, the band still enjoy great success on the live circuit. Jacqui McShee is best known as lead singer and co-founder of the original Pentangle with Bert Jansch and John Renbourn. Bert tragically passed away in October 2011 after suffering with cancer.
Jacquis current line up now includes Spencer Cozens (keyboards and vocals) who has also toured with Joan Armatrading and John Martyn , Gerry Conway (drums) also known as the drummer with Fairport Convention, Alan Thomson (bass) who also plays regularly with John Martyn, Robert Palmer and Rick Wakeman and Gary Foote (saxophone and flute).
In 2007 the original members were re-united to receive a lifetime achievement award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
