Lineup and details for The Original Bucks Fizz Live - Postponed til further notice on Thursday 23rd February 2012
The original Bucks Fizz were formed back in 1980 with members Mike Nolan, Cheryl Baker, Jay Aston and Bobby Gee being put together to sing Making Your Mind Up for the Eurovision Song Contest. After successfully winning the song for Europe title they were then entered into the Eurovision Song Contest inDublinwhich saw them ripping their skirts and winning the competition which then brought about over night success for the band.
Making Your Mind up went straight in at No1 making the band into international stars. Two more singles followed The Land of Makebelive and My Camera Never Lies along with the groundbreaking album Are you Ready. The critically acclaimed album Handcut was then released followed by singles If you cant stand the heat and Run for your Life.
The band continued to release top 10 selling albums and singles and touring extensively and it was after leaving a sell out concert in Newcastle that the band were involved in a tragic coach crash which left Mike Nolan in a coma and fighting for his life. Jay Aston also left the band which brought about a change to the line up.
Since 1984, the band has continued with their concerts in various forms until now when the original line up of Cheryl Baker, Mike Nolan and Jay Aston are taking to the stage once again.
