The Sentinels of Rhythm is one of the most experienced bands around playing vintage R&B. The band members have worked with among many others: Bill Wyman, Van Morrison, Georgie Fame, Jools Holland, Jeff Beck, Chrissie Hynde, Al Green etc. Sentinels of Rhythm is the brainchild of baritone sax ace Pete Cook. The music is inspired by the bands in which Pete has found himself over the last dozen or so years: Ray Gelato, Blue Harlem, Mike Sanchez, Big Boy Bloater. Pete had been wanting to start his own thing with hand-picked players for some time and when he met the handsome, charismatic singing pianist Michael Roberts teaching at a Berkshire college he knew the time was right.
