Lineup and details for The North Wales Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday 9th June 2012
Dragon Boating is all the rage and now you can be part of it too. Teams of between 14 - 20 people will get together on the Marine Lake in Rhyl and battle it out over a series of timed races throughout the day to see which teams will make it to the Grand Final.
The Grand Final will be a spectacular 'Race to the Finish' using all the available dragon boats. The day will finish with an Award Ceremony where our own 'Olympic' style medals will be presented to each member of the top three teams and the winning team will be crowned DRAGON BOAT CHAMPIONS OF NORTH WALES 2012.
Dragon boating is highly progressive in that the skills and techniques very quick to pick up, which makes it ideal for novice teams. For that reason, no previous dragon boating experience is necessary as full instruction will be given on the day.
Teams can either go to www.nwdbf.co.uk and download an entry form from the menu, or support one of the listed charities by downloading a personalised entry form from that charity's webpage under the 'charities' tab.
