Following the death of her brilliant mathematician father, Catherine struggles to come to terms with his legacy – his genius and his mental illness.  She is torn between her sister, Claire, who insists on taking her back to New York , and Hal, a former student of her father's, who tests both her knowledge and her emotions.  For Catherine has inherited at least a part of her father's brilliance - and perhaps some of his instability as well.  The question is – how much?

This gripping yet heart-warming play deals with the relationships between four personalities who, whether loving, hating, encouraging or impeding each other are intensely alive, real, funny and human.
