Menial Monkey Presents... return to The Oakford on Sunday 27th July for a unique evening of acoustic goodness.

Headlining the night will be local favourites PETE AND THE PIRATES performing a SPECIAL ACOUSTIC SET (only their second ever!). The band are in the midst of a hectic European Festival tour and will be joining us for a rare hometown gig. Their album 'Little Death' scored 8/10 in NME and we're chuffed to have them playing for us.

The main support act will be MY FIRST TOOTH who are an indie/folk duo who went down a storm at our album launch for Jonny Alford at The Lock Tavern earlier this year. They have gained high praise from Huw Stephens (Radio 1) and Marsha Shandur (XFM) who recently declared that "seeing them live always makes me feel like my life has just got about 100 times better". Come and see why.

First on with be LINE & A DOT who is also know as Sarah from Northampton band One Toy Soldier doing what she enjoys most...singing and playing acoustic guitar. She recently supported Sam Isaac and is recording her debut EP as we speak.

As its Sunday, we will be playing records from 4pm with the live music kicking off at around 7pm. DJ PETE WHEELER, back from sets at Glastonbury and The Great Escape, will be holding the fort with a little help from his friends at MENIAL MONKEY and THE OAKFORD. Expect the best in hangover recovery tunes until the end where it will no doubt get messy again!

This is definitely one to get down early for as entry is entirely FREE...you won't be disappointed if you do.
