Lineup and details for Louise Jordan, Ottersgear & Mostly Confucius on Sunday 11th March 2012

Absolutely Glorious. Fatea Magazine

This is one of the best debut albums I have ever heard, definitely five star. I cannot believe she has done it all herself. This girl is one to look out for. Richard Digance, BBC

Louises music is unique. It is a product of her lifes experience and is inspired by the natural tranquillity of the countryside where she now lives. She draws from the traditional folk songs that she has performed so often and there is also a clear influence from the classical singing of her youth.

Since leaving home, life has brought Louise various challenges from teaching at under- performing secondary schools in East London to working for both national and international charities focusing on disadvantaged children. These experiences have shaped the musician Louise has become, with a gift for empathy and storytelling.

Louise decided to concentrate on her musical career in January 2011 just after releasing her debut EP Born to wander which was widely acclaimed and named one of the top releases of the year by FATEA magazine. She has played at a mix of venues across the UK (as well as a brief impromptu gig in Tanzania) including arts centres, theatres, folk clubs and festivals, with performances alongside Matt Cardle, Eliza Carthy, Phil Beer, Cara Dillon, Kris Drever and Richard Digance. In July 2011 Louise appeared in UK Vogue in recognition of her recent musical contributions.

Louise wrote, recorded and produced her debut album Tempvs during the summer of 2011 which was released in September and launched in October 2011. The album reflects episodes in Louises life and includes reworked traditional songs, pieces inspired by literature as well as original material.

Louise Jordan is a young singer with a very distinctive style and voice and considerable song writing skills. She definitely stands out from the crowd! Phil Beer
