Some of Britains biggest urban and soul artists are coming to Preston this September 8th to star at the Guild music extravaganza, G-Fest. A host of chart-topping stellar acts are confirmed to appear at the all-day music festival, with soul star Maverick Sabre headlining a stunning bill along with iconic urban performer Labrinth, former N-Dubz front-man Dappy and feisty R&B girl group Stooshe.

Richly inspired by soul and urban sounds, Maverick Sabre is famed for his eerie vocals and hypnotic guitar skills. The artist maintains broad appeal, including everything from singing on Chase and Statuss No More Idols to performing on Later with Jools Holland, and his peerless album Lonely Are The Brave reached no.2 in the UK charts earlier this year. Maverick Sabre is a sensational soulful performer, who headlines G-Fest with a rousing climax to the show.

Like fellow huge stars Labrinth and Dappy, Maverick Sabres appearance at G-Fest follows a stand-out performance at BBC Radio 1s Hackney Weekend in June. The full line-up also features the genre-splitting collective Clement Marfo & The Frontline, Northern Soul band The Milk and alternative hip-hop duo Abandoman.

Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Maverick Sabre 9.00pm - 10.00pm

Drawing on his rich inspirations from R&B and folk, Maverick Sabre is known for his eerie vocals and hypnotic guitar skills. The artist maintains broad appeal, including everything from being a special guest on Chase and Status's 2nd album to performing on Later... with Jools Holland, and his peerless album Lonely Are The Brave reached no.2 in the UK charts.

Labrinth 7.45pm - 8.30pm

London-born rapper, singer-songwriter and record producer Labrinth has achieved immense chart success and endless accolades with three top 10 singles including Let the Sun Shine, Earthquake and Last time. His debut album, Electronic Earth, peaked at number 2 in the UK charts, cementing his status as a true star.

Dappy 6.30pm - 7.15pm

N-Dubz Dappy continues to explode on the scene as a solo artist, a talismanic figure without compare. His debut single No Regretsreached no.1 in the charts and his debut album, Bad Intentions, drops in October. He continues to command festivals and clubs with his unique rapping skills, a revered front man and icon for a whole generation.

Stooshe 5.15pm - 6.00pm

Sassy, funky and taking the music world by storm since their debut singles Love Me andBetty Woz Gone, Stooshe are one of the UK's most vibrant new groups nominated for the BBC's Sound of 2012 poll, they have since achieved further chart success with Love Mefeaturing American rapper Travie McCoy, peaking at number 5 on the UK Singles Chart.Black Heart, released last month, reached at number four and remained in the Top 5 for several weeks. These bright and brilliant girls will be keeping the boys in order at GFest!


Clement Marfo and the Frontline 4.00pm - 4.45pm

The first band to be nominated by MTV for brand new For 2012, Clement Marfo and the Frontline have been living up to - and beyond! - this huge accolade and anticipation. Fusing hip-hop and grime together to stunning stadium-rocking effect, the collective straddle genres at will as they season their urban leanings with gargantuan pop hooks, sweet neo-soul vocals and a rush of energised rock!

The Milk 3.00pm - 3.45pm

The Milk offer seductive R&B and Northern Soul, mixed with elements of Ska and reggae. It's a beguiling style which sees this riotously energetic band touring across the UK later this year. Cath them at GFest before they go through the roof!


Abandoman - 2.00pm - 2.45pm

Winners of both Hackney Empire New Act of the Year 2012 and The Musical Comedy Awards 2012, Abandoman create hilarious musical sketches at lightening speed live in front of their audience. No two gigs are ever the same as the project sees front man Rob Broderick and multi-instrumentalist James Hancox reinventing hip-hop in a way that appeals to all age groups. Abandoman have played festivals such as Glastonbury, V Festival Bestival and Latitude.
