***GROOVERIDER*** (Radio 1)

Grooverider is one of the original kings of Drum & Bass! He is widely recognised as a "godfather" of drum and bass for his pioneering work in the development of this genre.

Grooverider has been described as having an ability to stay ahead of the changes in drum & bass music which is unparalleled in the genre. His brilliant selection of tracks is a trademark of his style. Grooverider is also famous for having dub plates for months before other DJ's. His status and reputation for supporting quality artists ensure he has a constant stream of exclusive material in his box.

Grooverider remains an influential figure in the worldwide drum and bass scene, in part due to his successful radio show on BBC Radio 1 (presented in conjunction with Fabio) which has attained a devoted audience outside the United Kingdom. Consequently, he is in great demand as a DJ and works extensively abroad as well as in the UK.

*** D.O.D *** (Mixmag & Blackberry)

At the age of 22, D.O.D is considered one of the most exciting new talents to come from dance music. D.O.D has just recently recieved a two page spread about himself in Mixmag.

It is not just his technical skills that separate him from the rest as his creative abilities and imaginative style always shines through when he hits the decks, never failing to impress. Before every show, he digs out the finest acapellas, bootlegs and instrumentals to bridge the gap for switching genres of music.

D.O.D has recently been signed to one of the country’s hottest new indie labels, ‘Gash Digital’. With various tracks and remixes already released and his debut EP ‘No Smoke’ due for release at the end of Dec, 2010 is set to be a busy year for the rising star. Two of his tracks on the forthcoming EP are being supported and played by house legend, Laurent Garnier.

D.O.D’s ability to play so many different styles of music has seen him become one of the most interesting DJs to hear and watch for a long time. Whether he’s playing a House warm up set, a pumping House and Techno peak time set, a Dubstep and Drum and Bass set or even and all out student mash-up frenzy, D.O.D is a DJ that must be seen.

***Gentlemans Dubclub*** 

Gentleman’s Dub Club is a nine-piece band that formed in Leeds in early 2006. With a style based in dub, ska and roots reggae, GDC have burst onto the UK circuit, rocking gigs and festivals up and down the country with their super high energy show. Combining tight grooves and a heavyweight sound, Gentleman’s Dub Club bring the party to crowds of all ages hungry for a dance floor workout, with their gigs often ending in a frenzied mosh pit reminiscent of a mid 80’s ska night. Live effects and mixing make for a crystal clear sound, and the band’s larger than life stage presence makes for a mesmerising experience.
