Lineup and Details for Go Canoeing Guided Tour - Explore Family Tour, Wroxham on Sat 1st September 2012
Pick up a paddle this summer and discover the hidden gems along Wroxham's waterways on a Go Canoeing Guided Tour. This Explore Family Tour is ideal for those with some canoeing experience who want to explore more exciting and inspirational places to paddle. It also demonstrates how fun, sociable and accessible canoeing can be.
Take to the water to explore the River Ant, the narrowest and northernmost of the Norfolk Broads' rivers. Here you can enjoy a wide variety of flora and fauna and the tour takes in an island, known as the Heater, which is frequented by local otters and is also an ideal nesting place for kingfishers. The tour also includes a visit to the iconic Hunsett Mill, erected in 1860. The award-winning keepers house has been extensively re-modelled and modernised.
A Go Canoeing Explore Family Tour is a leisurely-paced paddle that gives you the opportunity to explore the environment, taking in the local wildlife, scenery and architectural heritage. It provides a great way to take some time out, absorb your surroundings and enjoy the freedom of being on the water.
