Run to the Sun 2008 at Trevelgue Caravan Park in Newquay - 23rd-26th of May
 
Run to the Sun was created from a natural affinity between the car and beach culture, the surfer's love of the VW Beetle and the upsurge in popularity of the customised VW as a trend setting mode of transport. When the festival was launched way back in 1987, seventy cars turned up but it has continued to grow each year. Now thousands of car enthusiasts from across the UK and beyond travel to Newquay to indulge in this annual festival which attracts somewhere in the region of 80-100 000 visitors each year. 
 
The festival includes two arenas of dance music, a live music stage, comedy club and a chill out zone.
