Cream Celebrates 20th Anniversary in Newcastle
Cream is pleased to announce our first event at Venue at Newcastle University Students Union will be our 20th Anniversary on Friday 12th October 2012.
Creams phenomenal story began back in 1992 when it staged its first event in a small 400 capacity venue in the backstreets of Liverpool, few then would realise the success it would go on to achieve and 20 years on, through sheer ambition, Cream has gone on to change the face of clubbing and become the leading global player in electronic music festivals inspiring many of todays visionaries along the way.
So its only fitting that the legendary Cream celebrate their 20th Anniversary & our first event at Newcastle University Students Union by welcoming a DJ who is now synonymous with Cream worldwide to bring the real unique Cream sound to Newcastle. A DJ who has rocked Cream, Cream Amnesia & Creamfields for the past 10 years as well as presenting The Official Cream Podcast to over 1.2 million subscribers worldwide the busiest dance music podcast in the world. That DJ is the one & only Andy Mac.
Joining Andy to continue the Cream sound will be Cream DJ Lee Ellis & Newcastles very own Homespun, fresh from their Ibiza residency at Ibiza Live in San Antonio.
This is not just another generic House night in Newcastle This is the real sound of Cream.

Andy Mac
Andy Mac is the DJ of choice for those in the know & Creams official worldwide resident. Equipped to rock any floor, the multi-talented DJ & producer has successfully defied pigeonholes & instead weaves a catalogue of all his influences when he performs which makes him comfortable playing the main set on the terrace at Cream Amnesia, as he is in a dark, underground basement club.
After initially catching the attention of James Barton, MD of Cream, Andy instantly carved his patch as a must see DJ & for the last ten years has been resident DJ at super club Cream (UK) & Cream Ibiza. He holds fort at the world famous Annexe at Cream in Liverpool, a room he can now call his own, following in the footsteps of Paul Oakenfold, Steve Lawler & Yousef.
Andy is the main resident on the world famous Amnesia Terrace for Cream & has a become a firm favourite with DJs such as Swedish House Mafia, Calvin Harris, Carl Cox, Eric Prydz, Annie Mac & Afrojack. Andy has also been a Creamfields favourite for the past 10 years, as well as a crowd favourite at Scottish festival Rockness & other events worldwide.
Andys DJ skills are also flexed on the airwaves as he presents the worlds busiest dance music podcast The Official Cream Podcast that goes out to over 1.2 million subscribers in over 80 countries across the globe.

Lee Ellis
In June 2002 Lee DJd for Cream at Nation after he caught their with a string of sell-out performances around UK & Europe. The line-up included Judge Jules, Guy Ornadel, Yousef & Andy Mac. Lees set was a huge success with the crowd, so much so that Lee has played at every Cream event for the last 10 years & has become one of their Official DJs with a non-stop schedule of UK & international tour work which takes him around the globe with regular appearances at Amnesia, Space (Ibiza) & BCM (Magaluf) amongst many others.
Lee has appeared at the last 10 Creamfields festivals playing to huge crowds & has established himself as a firm favourite at this event. Appearing alongside the likes of Sasha, Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Pete Tong, Swedish House Mafia & Erick Morillo at Creams epic parties have moulded Lees sound & made him one of Creams most in demand DJs.
Homespun
HomeSpun was started by two friends, Jerry Spinner and Andy Allwood, whose love for electronic music encouraged them to start their own unique nights.
Bringing a certain House vibe to Newcastle is what HomeSpun do best and their DJ's performances in Newcastle's clubs and bars are a demonstration of this. They are also keen to spot new talent and give local DJ's from across the area a chance to spin and get noticed.
HomeSpun have a successful residency at North bar in Newcastle as well as a weekly residency at Ibiza Live in San Antonio.
Their core DJ roster now includes Jerry Spinner, Andy Allwood, Carl Lumsden, Ian Cox and Phil Conway.
A perfect fit for Cream and no doubt some of Newcastle's finest!
