Kutski
Hard Dance & Hardcore's newest superstar & people's favourite Kutski is on the rise. 2008 witnessed a show stopping tour of Australia for leading Hardstyle organization Q Dance, to having arguably his busiest year so far best as he played Tidy Weekender 15 supported by a mixed cd release as well as Slammin Vinyl shows Westfest & NEC Arena on NYE not forgetting rocking the nations club dancefloors weekly at leading brands such as Goodgreef, Tidy, Polysexual, Inside Out, Planet Love, Bionic, Escape & many more. 2009 is set to be his busiest year so far despite the credit crunch circumstances that has hit so many industries. Not only is Kutski's weekly BBC Radio 1 show growing from s trength to strength reaching new height but this is the first time Hard Dance & Hardcore has had a weekly format to get out to new audiences and is an honour but also a well deserved plaudit for a true hard working professional. The show now fills a more peak time slot over his previous monthly R1 show format with a 1am to 3am schedule every Friday night/Sat Am. The show has given young Kutski another outlet and opportunity to showcase his ability to combine underground beats on a commercial stage with losing On a performance level his natural exuberance and awe-inspiring deck-man ship rank him up there among the true greats. The ingredients for a superstar are all in there, the ability to mix anything with anything have left crowds confused with a general "how did he do that" look across there faces. Technical skill with cuts and loops using every beat and bar of a track keep everything about Kutski's sets fresh and devastating to behold. Then there's scratching......On that front he is truly unmatched on the hard scene, picking up a section and manipulating it with ruthless precision before releasing a scratch riff to an amazed audience just gives his already astounding performance that kick to the next level. More, much more is coming with Kutski, prepare to be a mazed and you wont be far wrong.
DARK BY DESIGN 2008 has been another amazing year for the enigmatic Gaz West aka Dark By Design. With a production schedule out shining the majority of his peers and the tag of the ‘best remixer & undoubtedly one of the biggest producers in Hard Dance/UK Hardstyle' it is easy to see why his bookings are through the roof. Gaz is booked in and has already played at some of the highest profile and best respected nights globally this year already including, Defqon1, Dancevalley, Insomnia 2008 in Vancouver, The Hard Dance Awards, Ministry Of Sound in Singapore, multiple tour dates in Australia, Tidy Weekender 15, Slammin' Vinyl Festival to name but a few. With a full diary it can sometimes prove difficult to spend the adequate amount of time in the studio but Gaz manages to balance both brilliantly and to devastating effect with his new artists album ‘Heaven and Hell' out November 2008 tipped to be as well received as the rest of his outstanding offerings. This album will be a new direction for Gaz and will show how he has grown as an artist encompassing a journey through the lighter side of hard dance and straight through to DBD's recognised brutal ascent through his music. Come live in the Dark but Don't say we didn't warn you.
Phil York A master of all trades, a jack of none, when it comes to hard dance Phil York is running things right now.
A globe-trotting DJ, one of the most respected and biggest producers in hard dance, owner & A&R for no fewer than FOUR of the worlds hard dance scene's leading labels :Tranzlation, Distinkt, Nuklearpuppy & Bootek and promoter of Scotland's number one hard dance night Nuklear Puppy, everything Phil is touching right now is firing on all cylinders and his DJ diary is perfect proof.
Put simply, if there's a stomping sound that's makes people move then Phil's got it licked... and then some!
