RACHMANINOV Symphony No.2
The Russian State Philharmonic under their music director Valery Poliansky. In a first half comprising works by Tchaikovsky, the concert will open with his grand Coronation March to be followed by the Second Piano Concerto, which will be performed by the conductors daughter, Tatyana Polianskaya.
After the interval we will have a chance to hear Rachmaninovs glorious Symphony No.2, which many music lovers regard as his very greatest work.
