A cross-section of the US lo-fi indie scene in an irresistible night of fringe and outsider pop 'n' rock experimentation never seen or heard before in Manchester. Another huge highlight of the festival comes in the form of LA's skewed freakfolk / folkpop genius Ariel Pink, supported by the flamboyant finger tapping prowess of female guitar hero Marnie Stern, an ecstatically raw and lo-fi Times New Viking and the psychedelic garage rock of Long Beach-based Crystal Antlers. This lineup positions four of the USA's most reckless and imaginative indie exports corralled in a mini-festival setting at Urbis. DJ support will be provided by the knowledgeable teams behind Manchester's Now Wave and Stop Making Sense club nights.
