So, what's Up?
Up is a a brand new night based solely on promoting northern artists.
Over the coming months we are going to bring you the best artists the northern underground dance music scene has to offer and in the most fun way we can.
Expect very varied lineups showcasing the best in Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Jungle, Hip-Hop, Breaks, Reggae and beyond.
Our opening night will be hosted in one of Manchesters most legendary venues; The Attic which has very recently gone through a half million pound refurbishment including brand new soundsystem.
So come down on March 1st, get yourself a place on the dancefloor and dance all night to what will be a fantastic night of music with some wonderful, energetic hosts and MCs to keep the vibe going all night.

About the artists -

NORTH BASE
North Base is the collaboration of two hands-down Manchester veterans; Prophecy and Silver.
Prophecy is best known as Head-honcho of Manchesters biggest and longest running Drum & bass night - Metropolis
and DJ Silver has been a big part of the manchester scene for a long time and has several releases and international tours under his belt.
Together they present their own unique brand of Old-school rave inspired 140bpm breaks and beats with a new-school twist.
They have done official remixes for Ms Dynamite, Labrinth, Laidback Luke and Sander Van Doorn as well as their fantastic debut release - Fright Night/Hallow 808 (available now)
In their short time together they have already triumphed at many major festivals such as Global gathering and Parklife.
Expect Old school style ravey breaks, Dubstep and 140 Jungle. Set to be the most fun set of the night.

GLOXXY & BANE
Some of you may remember a few years ago there was a huge competition to find the best DJ in the North West called Dexfactor.
Well, these 2 were the 2 finalists and on March 1st they will go back to back for the first time ever!
Gloxxy, winner of the competition hails from Blackpool and is an absolute Jungle legend in these parts.
You will find Bane behind the counter at Manchesters most legendary music shop; Eastern Bloc. So you can imagine the size of his music collection.
Expect one of the most skilled Jungle/Drum & Bass sets you may ever see.

KYDRO
Truly one of Manchesters best skilled DJs and also a fantastic producer.
You will catch him playing at nights around manchester such as Hit & Run as well as in the dirty underground performing at the infamous Gash & Daylight robbery free parties.
The set will be performed with Frisko so they can perform some of their collaborations live!
Expect an eclectic mix of Dubstep, Hip-hop and whatever beats he wants to treat us to.

WOBBIE & DARKA
Up organisers/residents and long time, regular giggers around the North West.
Wobbie was a third of the group that brought the wildly eclectic night 'Uberwang!' to the dancefloors of Manchester.
Darka is the most recent member of Manchesters beloved Drum Music and recently had a triumphant set on their stage at last years Beatherder festival.
Expect across the board Drum & Bass going through Dancefloor, Jungle, Tech, Jump up and more.

MIND ON FIRE DJS
Mind On Fire put on some of the most original events Manchester has to offer and have been doing so for many years.
A handful of the residents are coming down to warm us up with some select choices from their wide record collections.
Expect Reggae and other great music to get the night started.

MC LONGMAN
This man has been MCing on the North West Drum & Bass/Jungle scene for a long time.
As North Base's preferred host he will be coming down to help make the headline set of the night extra special!

FRISKO & EDDIE P
The video of their last 2 on 2 Rap Battle just became the most watched video on Don't Flop's Youtube channel at over 230,000 views and shows no sign of stopping.
Also collectively known as The Base Invaders, Frisko and Eddie P have been making the manchester raving scene a much better place over the past 5+ years.
If you go raving in Manchester, chances are you've danced your arse off to these 2 before.

LOGIC MC
Known by other alius' such as MR Bugg and Dilligent Fingers, Logic is extremely enjoyable to watch on stage, with his energetic stage presence and well written yet, catchy lyrics, we guarantee this guy will make you want to move!
