homerl930 Wannabe Offline Points:58 Posts: 3	sankeys Overall rating: 1 probably the worst club ive ever been to! bought tickets from your website, travelled over a hundred miles for the door staff to turn us away and give us no reason why......after numerous phone calls trying to get through to your website and trying to get through to the venue i eventually gave up......lets say i wont be going back to sankeys and probably never gonna use your website again!

dani_gaz Wannabe Offline Points:26 Posts: 1	Been to sankeys on a few occasions and never experienced anything like last night!the venue was way overcrowded,people getting crushed to get back up the stairs from outside and the toilet ques r ridiculous!my friend was stood outside and got thrown out by an overly aggressive bouncer for no reason wotsoever!!didn't enjoy as much as usual which is a shame cos was really lookin forward to it!

As per usual the toilet queues are a joke & the club needs to address this,as people are paying good money to see Dj's not be standing in a queue!!The atmosphere was ok but people were hot & frustrated because of how busy it was which led to a few "flare ups"!!! I saw many people being refused entry because of problems with there tickets but i myself had no problems booking an e-ticket through skiddle. Michael Woods & LL both played blinding sets & i cant fault them at all!!!

Got refused entry, so waited 5 minutes, tried again an got in no problems. Received a phone call off a member of staff before we got there telling us to get get there early as the club had oversold tickets and bouncers would be randomly refusing entry! Many people i spoke to had their nights ruined by the fact most parties had at least half the people in their group refused entry, mine included. Club was overly busy, but didn't really bother me, but did get a bit uncomfortable towards the end. Drinks prices...... We're in Manchester not Ibiza!!!! Worlds number one club???? Not by a long way. Will I return? Never. Will I recommend to a friend? Absolutely not, I wouldn't even recommend the place to an enemy!

homerl930 Wannabe Offline Points:58 Posts: 3	non-entry Hi Ben, Thanks for the reply, Yeah Sankeys were quick to offer a refund for the tickets minus the booking fees, etc....the money wasnt an issue it was the fact the door staff were refusing people entry even if they had a ticket....reading other reviews it sounds as though the club/skiddle and other websites had oversold tickets, hence the door staff randomly refusing entry....however, the door staff were still letting people in and letting them pay £25 on the door!?!?.....surely ticket holders would be a priority over non-ticket holders? Or is it just a case of refusing ticket holders entry and refunding them £15 but letting non-ticket holders pay £25 on the door and getting abit of profit?......the organisation at this club is a joke.....having booked these tickets months in advance and travelling over two hours to see your favourite dj and being refused entry for no reason.....lets just say I was less than impressed!!!.....will not be going to this club again!!!!!!!

What sometimes happens is that a lot of tickets by shops, ticket reps happens at the last minute, pushing the total over capacity, but I can't really give the exact reason for this, as we aren't aware of overall sales, just what we've been told to sell. Unfortunately clubs do get oversold occasionally. Very frustrating for the customers who don't get in. Usually ticket buyers will be given priority as long as they are there before midnight. We'll pass your feedback onto Sankeys and hopefully they will be able to make improvements to avoid any issues in the future, and hopefully you will give the club another go, perhaps on a less busy night.
