Goodgreef kicks off the Christmas season with a stunning event at Sankeys lined up! After the sold-out sensation back in June it’s only right to return to the immense Sankeys for another huge session. With the big day on a Tuesday this year it makes for one final weekend before we all sit down to scoff the mince pies, get granny drunk and snub the queen for our new Scalextric. Goodgreef have managed to gift-wrap an enormous bounty of bosh together for a very special Santa themed soiree at Sankeys, putting together a line-up that only their deft nous can gather! Cherry-picking two of the finest stars in European Trance and combining with the hottest up and coming UK Talent for their main room, they’ve also hauled together the future of hard trance in Sankeys’ Boudior and some funk fuelled house and electro in the Bar. Considerably more chrimbo fun than soggy turkey and limp crackers.

Headlining the shenanigans in The Basement is the Dutch Tech Trance hero, Marco V (www.marcov.nl). Recently retaining his place in the top twenty of DJ Mag’s Top 100 poll, Marco has had another sterling year. He’s continued his rich vein of form in touching up classics, adding a phenomenal rework of Josh Wink’s ‘Higher State of Consciousness’ to other banging re-rubs of ‘Cafe del Mar’ and ‘ Papua New Guinea’. Then there’s his original productions (the third in his Combinations EP fell into the boxes of DJs such as Ferry Corsten, Sander van Doorn and Judge Jules) the huge honour of hosting his own arena at Holland’s notorious Dance Valley festival, and continuing gigs all over the world to play his funk edged techno and trance sound. He’s already played two knockout gigs for Goodgreef this year, this won’t fail to disappoint either!

Superstar Dutch producers Mark Norman have several huge hits in a row including the remix od Sasha’s Xpander the incredible MN track Blinkin’ Machine, along with diverse mix albums and two Dutch dance awards for services to dance music - they are quite simply one of the most dynamic duos on the planet. Norman will be DJing at the GG Xmas party and celebrating the release of ‘Colours,’ their second artist album release. Joining him will be Greg Downey, the wonder kid who has blew everyone away since exploding onto the scene, including Mixmag (who marked him as one to watch) and Eddie Halliwell (who has featured Greg’s mixes twice on his Radio One show), not to mention the legions of clubbers who raised their hands to his classic rework of Bedrock’s ‘Heaven Scent’. Barry Connell is also in attendance, having a storming 2007 also with the Inside Out residency and a couple of scorching performances at Judgement Sundays, and Pickled Beats master Christian Shaw makes his GG debut warming things up!

The Boudoir’s future floor fillers theme is most notably started by Al Bamford, better known to us all as Technikal (http://www.myspace.com/technikalmusic)! Each of his tunes keep getting better and better as do his DJ sets, justified by storming appearances at Global Gathering and the Sanctuary Festival. Al is supported by Morgan, who continues to rock the UK everywhere he goes, and is one of the scene’s most exciting talents. Neal Thomas (www.djnealthomas.com) joins him, the Scouse nutter whose career has already seen mixes on Riley & Durrant’s Nu Breed show and gigs across the Uk. Rascal and Jordan Suckley are the final components in the room which goes to show the amazing amount of talent lined up for hard dance’s future, what Goodgreef will no doubt continue to be a driving aspect of!

The Bar sees the groovier side of the Goodgreef filth spectrum on offer, with Kris James, Paul Flintoff, the Curious Hifi DJs, YBD and Michael Godsmark amongst the spinners pumping out the house and electro!
