Only a small minority of clubbers are there for the great sound system & great tunes that dj's like Lawler play. The rest are only there cos 'its cool to go to Sankeys'. Lawlers set was awesome with some great bombs dropped, maybe a few too many build ups but that was probably cos he was trying to get an atmosphere that has been sadly lacking as sankeys ever since the refurb. Bring the good old days Sankeys SOAP!!! when people were there for the music & it wasn't full of people all tarted up & there just cos they want to be regarded as cool.

PumpUpTheJam1 987 Newbie Offline Points:81 Posts: 13	My Review of Disco Electronica: Steve Lawler! at Sankeys Overall rating: 3.5 Personally, Steve Lawler was one of the guys I was wanting to see most this year and he didn't dissapoint, I found it an awesome night. Can understand your feelings Iconic but seeing as this was only my second outing to Sankeys as I am usually here, there and everywhere I wouldnt be able to comment on 'what it used to be like'. I thought the prices were quite steep but what else can you expect it ain't happy hour =D. If we are basing the night on Lawler though, top marks it has to be said.
