Fast becoming the jewel in Sankeys’ multi-faceted crown, Disco Electronica has been at the epicentre of all that is great and good about the club for a long while. Focusing on the underground shades of house and techno, it has built up a fervent following within the UK club scene by sticking to its guns musically and constantly unearthing new and exciting talent to play alongside its feted resident OD Muzique. The March party continues that tradition with a debut for up and coming hotshot Reset Robot.
Reset Robot is a relatively new name that will be increasingly familiar to fans of dubbed-out and moody tech house all over the world. Having released a series of well-received tracks on key labels including Excentric Muzik, 8 Sided Dice, Sound Of Acapulco and Noir already in 2009, Reset Robot recently made a debut on Dubfire’s Sci+Tec Digital Audio imprint to crown what has been an amazing start his career. There is more to come too with a follow up EP on Sci+Tec, releases to come on 100% Pure, Tronic, Sprout and Suara and the launch of Reset Robot’s label, Roomba Music. Having showcased his sounds at some of the biggest clubs in UK including a specially crafted live set at Fabric and dates at Matter (London), Tripod (Dublin), Victoria Works Warehouse (Leeds) and Digital (Brighton), 2010 is promising to be an even larger year for this very talented DJ, producer and live show exponent.
Spektre is the techno brainchild of DJs/producers Filthy Rich and Paul Maddox. The dark duo was formed through a shared passion for driving electronic music and a mutual desire to push sound boundaries using the most cutting edge technology available. The fusion of their combined experience in the studio allows them to construct dark, sinister sounds mixed with twisted, haunting vocals and unnerving, atmospheric foundations.
Another dynamic duo, residents OD Musique, lay down pounding house and techno grooves.

Bugged Out! continue their prime monthly instalments of dance floor revelry and April is shaping up to be another one right from the top draw. Continuing a fine line of rich form which has seen an all manner of electronica’s most effervescent stars grace the hallowed Sankeys decks, Fri April 9th is a pulsating proposition.
Simian Mobile Disco are James Ford and James 'Jas' Shaw. They first formed SMD as a DJ partnership, playing around Manchester. Their DJing then led to remixes for bands such as Air, and eventually Simian Mobile Disco began their own original production work. Soon the Mobile Disco name took on a life of its own.
The pair have played with groups like LCD Soundsystem, Tiefschwarz and Soulwax. They've also remixed The Kills, Ladytron and The Departure. Success for the pairing has been nothing short of meteoric, and each year brings something new from SMD. With 2010 already shaping up to be something of a spectacular, Bugged Out! Securing of their esteemed services is set to be a cracker in the intimate Sankeys.
Fresh from rocking Bestival's Hidden Disco and with their remix of Metronomy's 'Do The Right Thing' currently getting hammered by everyone from Horsemeat Disco to Friendly Fires, Wild Geese Frank Tope and Dan Foat bring the same vibe to their DJ sets as they do in the productions with their studio-bound fellow Goose Nathan Boddy: a mix of passionate electronic party music that throws together the best of underground disco and house both old and new to bring the rave in spectacular fashion.
BO’s very own James Holroyd is on hand to stoke things up rather finely.
