Lineup and Details for New Revolution Presents: Skarlett Riot + Guests on Wed 11th July 2012
Born in the summer of 2010 in North Lincolnshire, Skarlett Riot are a brazen four-piece female fronted Hard rock unit who deliver the melody and grit of Halestorm and Courtney Love fused with the muscular garage rocknroll guile of early Guns N Roses. Spitting out fiery riffage and infectious hooks, the northern noiseniks boost a sound that is both truly captivating and anthemic, packed to the brim with attitude and a confidence that belies their age.
Composed of Skarlett (Vocals and Guitar), Danny (Lead Guitar/Backing Vox), Tom (Bass/ Backing Vox), and Luke (Drums), Skarlett Riot have shared the stage with the likes of Taking Dawn, L.A Guns, Glamour Of The Kill, Crashdiet, Vains Of Jenna, Black Spiders, Forever Never, Deaf Havana, and Francesqa. The High-flying foursome have also recently played Tramlines Festival organised by the Arctic Monkeys and headlined by UK eternal-rockers, Ash.
The bands debut EP, released late 2010, received glowing accolades from everyone from Metal Hammer and Classic Rock Magazine, to Powerplay and Big Cheese. Along the way, the north lincolnshire starlets also notched up the prize for winning the best overall band of 2011 by Playmusic Magazine. Skarlett Riot have also received broad radio play from Kerrang!, BBC, Total Rock, Total Biker FM, and are currently endorsed by Fernandes Guitars (home to Journey, Judas Priest, Marilyn Manson, Motorhead, and Scorpions).
Skarlett Riot now unleash their eagerly awaited sophomore EP spring 2012. Packing a hearty punch to the senses, their EP Villain fully concocts an acute mixture of soaring high-energy melodies with dark aggressive undertones. Skarlett Riot are sure to gain a rising new fan-base and carve their name as one of the bands to rise in 2012.
"Every bit as fun as chasing puppies around the house, Skarlett Riot are a band springing with energy. Not only are they an impressively young entry into a list of UK bands oblivious to peer pressure, the Lincolnshire quartet also have the talent to match with their high-octane, old school rock 'n' roll. Party Hard is a madcap dash of riffs and hooks, while Read My Lips and You're The Enemy reach more pronounced climaxes. The title-track even ties all of these strenghts into one brilliant four-minute tirade. There's obviously much to come from this prodigious band who should be excited about just how good they already are. So should you." KKKK

The brainchild of Aaron Studzinski and Tim Darbyshire, Semiphore was formed in 2011, and began writing original material and gigging locally around the Cheshire and Staffordshire area until September 2011. After a much needed line-up change and a 6 month hiatus, they have returned with Liam Kerin on drums and Nathan Edwards on bass. The new line-up brought a new dynamic, with more creativity, energy and unity than before. Returning in March 2012, Semiphore have begun to find their own voice and started to push their sound further afield, with a hopeful future ahead of them and a steadily growing fanbase.
Daytona is a young, four piece rock band based in London. It was created by the guitarist, Sten Mars, in 2011. After one or two changes in the line up, session singer Luke Gessner and session drummer Ed Thorne joined the band to establish the sound Sten had been seeking for his songs.
Daytonas style lies somewhere between The Killers, Foo Fighters and The Beatles. All the songs are original and modern, even though the roots are steeped in traditional rock, as a result of which the music ranges from the radio-style, electro rock Believe it or Leave to the purely acoustic Legacy.
Due to the diverse ethnicity of its members the band brings something different to the rock arena.
Sex, Drugs and Rock n Roll
The Arkhamists are a three piece grunge-rock band from the Birmingham/Liverpool/Stafford/Nottingham areas. They write raw, simple songs about the pain of the human condition, finding serenity in the tiny corners of the world that go un-noticed, and airline check-in employees. Their guitar is dirty and wild, their bass is melodic and filling, their vocals boil down to expressive wailing and their drums drive and thrash.
We enjoy the following; Noise on our tracks, Unwarrented Quantities of guitar feedback, Hobo Wine, The Band-Cave, Beer in our fans, Not wearing Clothes, Conga-lines at our gigs, Not having enough strings on our guitars, Fist Fights at rehearsals, Drawing on things, Having a great time on Stage, Putting on the best shows we can, Butterflies, Long Walks on the beach, Poetry and the works of A.A Milne.
