a little disappointing

well it began with a bad start when one of the boys we was with couldnt get in because he was wearing black rockport shoes...although other boys was wearing trainers, timberlands, sketchers and alot worse footwear...but he paid to get a taxi there and back (which is double time)to get his black nike Tn trainers which he was allowed in with (strange i no) woulda thought they would let him in anyway being it was new years eve and we paid for the ticket!
anyway we got in there about 10.30 was pretty dead...didnt really pick up until about 11.30 which was expected i suppose...there was stilt walkers which was good to see but i didnt see any breakdancers.
The decor was nice and the music was good...drinks were a little expensive at £3.30 for a sambuca shot but overall it was an okay night...a little disappointing but i'd give it 6/10.

Re: a little disappointing

I agree with the above comment...i have had better nights in relish on a standard night than new years eve!

The lad ameri was talking about had travelled an hour to get to manchester and although the point could be argued that rockports are not a shoe it did not say what the dresscode actually was and our point is that a trainer is not a shoe, neither is muddy boots which several guys were wearing and was allowed entry!

The promoter who did not allow us entry was very rude, and treated us like we were stupid (a bit of power can go to somepeoples head) and left us stood outside for 45minutes before informing us that he was allowed in with black TN trainers??? which sort of contradicts the whole argument about rockports! The bouncers and promoters favoured pretty young girls and allowed them entry without queuing by simply opening up the gates for them and getting hugs and kisses and then allowing them in! I do not think the issue was about rockports i think the issue was that the bouncers favoured some people (women) more than others!

The decor inside wasnt much to look at and the special surprise to bring in the new year was a bit of confetti from the ceiling...to be honest i didnt think much effort was put in!! However the ladies on stilts were very nice and would pose for photo's! The drinks were also expensive which is usually normal for new year but still not the point and the music wasnt all that good!!

I wish i had gone to another club to be honest....relish you let us down!
