Lineup and details for Polar Buskers on Sunday 12th December 2010
Manchester’s North Pole bar plays host to some of the city’s most impressive up and coming acoustic talents on the afternoon of Sunday 12th December as they busk in the bar to raise money for homeless charity Shelter.
Donating their time and creativity are John Clapper (2pm), Taylor and the Mason (2.30pm) and Carpe Diem (3pm), who will entertain the North Pole’s festive customers as they enjoy warming cocktails in Manchester’s highly acclaimed pop up wonderland.
Manchester born John Clapper and Josh Stokes will perform a double act as part of new Manchester band The Fallout. Influenced by Brian May, Eric Clapton and The Beatles. They have been pursuing a career in music since June 2008 and have since performed at the Royal Albert Hall, been part of a movie soundtrack for the film 'Jealous God' which screened in over 50 cinemas (Including ODEON and VUE) and achieved a popular 2 year residencies at the Hard Rock Cafe with JOON and The Shameless. http://www.myspace.com/johnclappermusic
Taylor and the Mason is an acoustic duo based in Manchester, made up of singer-songwriters Sally Mason and Becky Taylor. They have been gigging in and around Manchester and the North West for the past 2 years, pedalling their own brand of “folky-dirty-stomping-dancing music.” Their influences vary wildly from Motown to Joni Mitchell to Soul. Expect an eclectic mix of acoustic sounds with extremely close harmonies. http://www.myspace.com/taylorandthemason
Carpe Diem formed February 2009 by Tom Eccles (20) and Jonny Smale (20) , who met in school at age 13 and became a close knit songwriting partnership. The are passionate about live rock n roll music, feel-good catchy songs and the right attitude to go with it. http://www.myspace.com/carpediemmanchester
