Funkademia celebrates its 16th birthday with Coronation Streets Graeme Hawley taking over the main room duties.
Graeme Hawley is best known for playing John Stape in Coronation Street, but what a lot of people dont know is that he also a fantastic DJ. Hes played for Funkademia over the summer at Wickerman Festival, Ramsbottom Festival and also took control of our Baby Funk room. His love of all things funky is sure to light up this birthday party! Supporting him in the main room will be one of our favourite resident DJs, Les Croasdaile.
In the Baby Funk room we welcome Disco Mums who are an all female manchester based dj collective of seasoned clubbers (now proud parents).
Over the summer they have graced decks at Electric Elephant(Croatia), That Amazing Thing! Electrik, Nook, Circle Bar, Kendal Calling, Manchester International Festival, Friends Of Mine Festival and Ramsbottom Festival and tonight they make their Funkademia debut!
