Exploring the murky world of doom metal and occult electronics, Futuresonic has invited Dorset based Electric Wizard to perform alongside Walsall's Wizard of Electronica, John Twells aka Xela. Both live acts are noted for an analogous interest in the occult and horror soundtracks in particular, catering for lovers of Goblin, American stoner rockers Sleep or the 'other' side. Electric Wizard have a cult following under the spell of their doom laced and sludgy psychedelic rock music. Xela is the sonically shapeshifting producer and owner of Type records, home to music from Peter Broderick to Sylvain Chaveau. Expect a drone-based mismash of psychedelia summoned from his array of vintage analog synthesizers.
