Lineup and Details for HomoElectric Manchester with Bicep on Fri 6th July 2012
HomoElectric resumes normal service at our spacious multi-roomed home, Legends on Friday 6th July with special guests BICEP.
The boys behind the mighty Feel My Bicep are perveyors of fine music. Their excellent blog is written with love and reverence and their DJ sets are similarly crafted. They have moved into the world of alchemy, working mysterious magic with disco edits, remixes and original productions. Join us then for a heady night with the Bicep boys as they flex their muscular collection of house, disco, funk and just about anything else you can groove a move to. Joining Bicep in the Main Room are our trusted turntablists Will Tramp! and Jamie Bull.
Downstairs Trash-O-Rama turn the Mineshaft into a literal 'dark room'. No lights, just lasers against a soundtrack of sleazy electro, horror synths, clubkid anthems versus brand new queer hip hop, 90's rap, dutty beats and booty bass. Music to shake yer dicks/fannies to - nude or clothed at your own discretion. Feel your way around in the dark, bump and grind or just play under the lasers with Trash-O-Rama. There'll be a chance for dress up, make-up, glitter, dark room fumbles and polaroids.
The Piano Bar returns to its Cinema Saloon guise as we dim the lights and show a selection of video nasties and celluloid classics. We'll be substituting the popcorn for poppers and kissing on the back row is encouraged.
HomoElectric is for homos, heteros, lesbos and don't knows. Sexual orientation and music genres are irrelevant on our dancefloors. Into our melting pot we throw disco, house, techno, garage, rock 'n' roll trash, outsider pop, dirt and glamour with no pomp or pretension.
Music Genres:
Disco, Garage, Hip Hop, House, Punk, Techno
