As you all know we have the fantastic guest DJs Danny Lilwall and Chris Halliday playing this Saturday for the launch! Well as an extra special treat for you lovely Toucans on our opening night! Returning from the South America tour on an early flight, we have Ketoloco's very own Danny Raper joining us to play back2back with his partner Chris Halliday!

The toucan first caught sight of this talented young producer in the shape of his ‘Absolute EP’, a solid release that oozed so much depth within its stand out track ‘Ket Vision’. With a residency held at Gateway @ Rooty’s in Birmingham, regular spots at The Custard Factory (Birmingham) as well as exclusive sets played in Belgium. Danny is a very busy individual and alongside his many outstanding releases, a new studio album is due to be released at the end of 2008 entitled “Sewer Side”. 2009 is beginning to look extremely promising year for Danny.

Students are so lazy these days, right? Well not this one. Skipping from music technology lectures at Leeds Met’ University to behind the decks at clubs around the country, Chris Halliday is quietly gaining qualifications and not so quietly gaining work experience, whilst simultaneously shaping the future sound of the underground.

Having spearheaded a revival of the afterparty scene in his native Headingly with his KeToLoCo comrades, secured a monthly residency with the peerless house institution that is Leeds’ Back to Basics, and hosted the most scorching addition to Ibiza’s independent party scene last summer, London is the subject of Chris and Ketoloco’s most recent assault. The monthly parties, at Scala, are their largest to date with only the most avant-guard electronic artists invited to play.

All that though, is of mere consequence. The far from ancillary residents are at the pulsing electronic heart of Ketoloco. If it weren’t for their acute underground focus, and an unwavering commitment to exciting their discerning and learned disciples, there would be no parties. With a nonchalant disregard for any prevailing musical trends, Halliday spins only the most considered and cerebral techno which winds and wonks down many a sordid sonic path, emerging come 5am in a somehow enlightened state. Welcome to his world.

'Scarecrow Audio' a.k.a Justin Culkin and Joe Gabbitas have been spinning together pretty much since they started growing facial hair. Currently studying Music Production and Studio Management all the way down in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire; the boys have evolved in such a natural manner it is a partnership made in heaven. Joe plays a slick, emotive minimal sound, which hits you where it should, which in turn compliments Justin's clean and calculated House/Techno style; the two combined produce a very distinct audiogasmic experience.

Justin has been recently signed and had a release on Florida based House label - 'Digital Vinyl Recordings' called Phatt Phucker but more recently, Scarecrow Audio came runners-up in last months IDJ Raw Talent mix competition. Nic Fanciulli dubbed their mix as 'Amazing, the perfect warm up in my eyes!' - Bravo boys, bravo!. The Lincolnshire born yellow bellies are due to launch an exciting new label in the New Year so be warned. Keep your eyes peeled and your ears waxed...you will hear from Scarecrow Audio again! Trust.

With a taste for Global Underground since he was still in Pampers, Khan seriously knows how to throw a party - and with a resident with as much fuel as this boy has got, it's sure to be a gooden!
