ADDISON GROOVE
[swamp 81 / tectonic / 3024 / hessle audio]
This will be the third time we've brought Tony up from Bristol to come party for us. The first time was way back when in November 2010, when we put him on as Headhunter. He smashed it. Standard. He then found a change in direction, he left the deep thumping dubstep he had so vigorously mastered, to create a whole new animal. . . some kind of warped acid techno, mixed with jackin' chicago duke house and underlined with a throbbing bassline that keeps the feet dancing, and the foreheads sweating...arise sir ADDISON GROOVE. Having released absolute classic tunes such as Footcrab & Work It on the SWAMP 81 label, and Make Um Bounce for Pinches Tectonic label, his releases such as Minutes of Funk for 3024 showcase the variety this cat has to offer. We are truly thrilled to be able to welcome back to Selective Hearing one of the UKs finest purveyors of dance music. . . .

OBJEKT
[hessle audio / objekt 12"]
One of, if not THE hottest properties in the techno-bass world at the moment. UK born, Oxford educated Berlin migrated, Objekt has stormed the bass & techno music scene over the past year, he released a series of 12" which in his own words are - "a series of releases to make subs rattle and feet wiggle; a convoluted mess of dubstep, 3-step, garage, techno, bass-core, post minimal wankstep, shithouse, acid wonk, no more, no less."...couldn't really disagree with that? His release Cactus on the Hessle imprint was one of the audio spectacles of 2011, destroying every dance and every system in the process. He has played all over the world, including some of electronic musics biggest clubs & cities, Berghain, Corisca, WHP, The Boiler Rool, Italy, Oxford :) and of course, our sunny citeh of Manchester.
Expect a set to take you on a musical adventure, from the deep techno vibes of Berlin through to the dubstep movement carved out in Bristol and London. OBJEKT is one for the future, the present and, I reckon he'd not do too badly in the past.

RANDOMER
[numbers / hessle audio]
For our final guest of the night we have another 'new kid on the block' although, this ones not so young. Rohan Walder takes on the moniker, Randomer, one of the most exciting and innative prospects of UK electronic music. His sounds are crafted from dubstep, house, garage, drum & bass and a whole other range of though provoking dance music. To put Randomer in a bracket or a genre would be denying what his music stands for, its a nomadic display of where UK dance music is going, and where it has come from. Tunes such as Brunk released on Hessle Audio, and Real Talk released on Numbers, shows the variation in his music. He's had releases on Soul Jazz, Thru Thoughts and even Hospitality Records. If listening to his music isn't enough to make you want to be a believer, he even has the likes of Ben UFO & Giles Peterson backing him. This guy is going to be huge in 2012.

Of course, along with these 3 special guests, we have our array of residents. First VERSA, this guy is going to blow up in 2012, trust us, we've heard it from the horses mouth. Secondly SHADOWFAX, one of the most accomplished beat matchers in Manchester Citeh, he has a back catalogue of productions to boot, with the likes of Synkro, Biome & Indigo backing him, his future is set to be bright. Oh and how could we forgot the wordsmith that is MC SPARKZ and of course, our visual supreme-o. VJ BONES.

If all this wasn't enough, we're happy to announce as of February, we will be starting a weekly and monthly party up in Newcastle, as well as carrying on our exploits down in Bath, with even bigger things to come in some slightly larger cities. Hush hush for now, stay tuned for all the latest that is Selective Hearing.
Thank you, and good night.
