Content Presents - Kerri Chandler (Madhouse, NYC) [4hr Set] tickets

In August, we are absolutely over the moon to be able to say that we have re-scheduled the services of arguably the most talented producer of house music to ever walk the earth Kerri Chandler.

Despite a couple of previous releases, Kerri's long and illustrious career started in earnest when the world sat up and took notice of his now seminal Atmosphere EP on Shelter records back in 1993, an EP that contains the stone cold classic Track One, which remains a destroyer of dancefloors to this day.

His output is far too prolific to list all the labels of note he's released on and under which pseudonyms, suffice to say that if you've ever seen a DJ of any discernible taste over the past twenty years, then we can guarantee that you have danced to one (if not many) of Kerri Chandler's tunes.

His productions range from the soulful New York garage of his early output to the more electronic deep house sound of his recent releases and they are influenced by everything from gospel, jazz and soul through to Detroit Techno and even 1980's computer game soundtracks. Everything he does is enthused with the highest level of musicality, as you would expect of someone born into a family of jazz artists and is polished with a sheen of technical know-how that most producers could only ever dream of achieving.

In the studio, Kerri is quite simply the master but as anyone who has seen him live will tell you, he absolute kills it behind the decks also not surprising seeing as he's been playing out since he was thirteen! His shows often contain live elements, with Kerri jamming improvised keys or singing over the top of tunes to create an added layer of atmospherics to his beats.

Needless to say, an artist of this magnitude very rarely plays such intimate gigs.
