Reviews of DRY Manchester in Manchester

DRY Manchester venue information

DRY was opened on the 25th July 1989 by Factory Records with an idea of a bar more in keeping with the cafe culture of Barcelona and Los Angeles. It was stated by Tony Wilson that DRY is to be to the Bars what the Hacienda is to Clubs. The original design of DRY was unique and played an important role in the nations bar culture of today.

Whilst DRY still feels modern and contemporary, its history still flows within and the main features of the bar still remain. These include a spectacle of Japanese oak doors, Canadian telegraph poles, a South African slate bar top and a giant spear on the ceiling running the length of the bar.

DRY offers a wide range of both food and drink with an impressive back bar not rivalled in the Northern Quarter. Its drinks menu boasts a lengthy and carefully selected range of both Draft and worldwide bottled choices ranging from cloudy ciders to rare oak aged beers. DRY also has a fruity cocktail menu featuring the classics and the DRY originals, so there is plenty of choice for everyone. Not to be forgotten is the selection of fantastic wines and champagne to choose from to ensure that we keep everyone happy.

Our kitchen boasts the best quality homemade food the Northern Quarter has to offer with tasty homemade burgers topped with toppings ranging from tangy melted Cheese and Bacon to Falafel and Hummous. We also are proud to offer pizzas which are made freshly to order with great toppings such as Steak and Onion, Meat Feast Vegetarian and Hot and Spicy only to name a few. The new additions to our menu include fajitas and a fine selection of gourmet sandwiches. For those who just want a quick bite to eat we have a range of sharers such as garlic bread, nachos and breaded chicken goujons which are all served with special DRY homemade sauces.

Expect a range of varied events from live acts and innovative local DJs, playing a whole host of different music genres. This alongside our laidback sociable atmosphere, friendly staff and late 4am closing times on Friday and Saturdays (free entry) make us a favourite nightspot for locals and visitors alike.
