Lineup and details Lineup and details

Olivia’s compositions celebrate her love of Indian music and jazz, and her commitment to Buddhism is reflected in the title – a Buddha figure that represents fearlessness. Featuring celebrated guitarist Stuart McCallum [Cinematic Orchestra], leading NW bassist Pete Turner and Leeds-based drum-whizz percussionist Adam Warne on riq and darbouka, the album has a timeless and uplifting quality, and is the result of a few years of writing, arranging and gigging across the country.

Entrance is £2.50 on the door and includes free tea and cakes! Lovers of stronger refreshments will be reassured to know that the bar will also be open… There will be special guests sitting in throughout the evening, including Jon Thorne [Lamb, Danny Thompson] and Luke Flowers [Cinematic Orchestra], and the album will be on sale on the night for £10. The event starts at 8pm.

It is a sonic melting pot, performed with heartfelt expression, which makes for a completely original sound - like nothing you've ever heard before. With their haunting sounds based on Buddhist concepts and inspired by themes from nature, this quartet of exceptional musicians will take you on a journey of sublime beauty that will leave you speechless.

Divine, really emotional and inspiring” - Celebrate Festival, Manchester

Olivia’s graceful and engaging stage presence combines with some fine, expansive playing from the band, capturing the ears and eyes of listeners from all camps.” – Steve Mead, Manchester Jazz Festival
