David Newton is widely regarded as one of the most important pianists to emerge from the UK in recent times. Featuring Andy Cleyndert on bass and Steve Brown on drums, the concert will showcase brand new material from the trio’s forthcoming, highly anticipated CD A Portrait of a Woman. In a recording career spanning over 20 years, Newton has performed alongside some of the most accomplished musicians in contemporary jazz, including Buddy De Franco, Martin Taylor and Alan Barnes.
