Twisted Society presents FRIVOLOUS (live) + more.. tickets and listings

It was the nearest thing to a club night in Ibiza in London. That was the reaction from just one of the packed out crowd that joined our Twisted Society. The disco ball, performers, eerie artwork and the ten hours of music from Alex Picone, Clive Henry, Alex Celler and our residents, combined to successfully send each and every person that stepped through the doors to a place far removed from reality. It was an event that echoed the halcyon days of New York when nothing mattered except a sense of community and cutting edge music.

We are ready to do it all over again on the 24th September when we return to our home of Village Underground in the heart of Shoreditch to provide you with another event of majestic music. Cadenzas Frivolous aka Daniel Gardner returns to London after his sell-out live show at Fabric earlier this year. Those who bore witness to Frivolous incorporate his own hand-made instruments with jaw-dropping beats when he hit the London super club will know that his live sets need to be seen to be believed. Studying classical music in Canada before discovering acid house and Detroit techno, Frivolous musical spectrum reaches far and wide and this shows in his productions and live sets. Frivolous is an artist who doesnt just believe in bending the rules of conventiality, he believes in breaking them completely.

The dynamic duo of Dan Berkson and James What are the perfect accompaniment to Cadenzas Frivolous as these two will also be bringing their live show to our Twisted Society. Since debuting at Sonar in 2006, the demand for a Dan Berkson and James What show has never waned. Their combined musical influences, which stretch from jazz and funk to house and techno means the music you hear from this pair will be like nothing youve heard before. With productions as meticulously arranged as their live sets, its no wonder these two have seen releases on some of the hottest labels around, including Crosstown Rebels and Poker Flat Recordings.

Another Crosstowner to join our Twisted Society is Fb Julian, a name many in London are familiar with. A long-time fixture on the London party scene, as resident at Kubicle and a frequent face at Fabric, Fb Julian is now also seeing success as a producer. He is one fourth of production outfit Pteradactil Disco, alongside Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and Robert James and is constantly working hard in the studio when he isnt moving those on the dance floor.

Completing this very special line-up are our residents who were able to channel the essence of our Twisted Society in to their sets at our debut party. Dan Farserelli, Anderson and Jack Demeester will be digging deep to deliver another astounding array of music and will be joined by our newest resident, Joseph Onik.
