Jah Wobble & Keith Levene play:- Metal Box In Dub

For the first time in nearly 30 years, influential bassist Jah Wobble and the archly avant-garde guitarist Keith Levene will re-unite.

The former Public Image members have come together for a series of special gigs in unusual places. Village Underground in Shoreditch has been chosen this venue to be lifted by their dub interpretation of the genre defining post-punk album Metal Box.

Growing out of confined spotty adolescence, Public Image Limited's seminal debut First Issue and its follow-up Metal Box, was the sound of punk grown-up. Taking in more international influences from the streets of New York through to the the shanty towns of Jamaica, Keith Levene and Jah Wobble became instrumental to the PiL sound.

Levene's legacy can be heard in the acerbic albums by Massive Attack and Primal Scream. Jah Wobble reentered the music business with success from Invaders Of The Heart and melding more world influences with projects as diverse as Chinese Dub and The English Roots Band.

Last year the two collaborated in the studio with Julie Campbell for Psychic Life. Metal Box In Dub is now ready to be be unleashed in London.

Trevor Jackson will be supporting this gig with a special Metal Dance DJ set.
