White Horse goes Down Under

Celebrate the arrival of beer from Grand Ridge Brewery, Australia’s most awarded brewery, with a weeklong showcase from October 15^th – 21^st.

Take your taste buds on a trip Down Under this October, as south west London’s finest beer pub showcases some of the very best Australia has to offer; never before seen on these shores, beers from Australia’s most awarded craft brewery, Grand Ridge.

Their multiple awards include 29 medals in 2002 at the Australian and International Beer Awards, 21 medals, including 6 best of class winners, in 2003, and 6 awards at 2010’s International Beer Challenge.

All nine Grand Bridge beers will be showcased on draught and will include Brewers Pilsner a refreshing European style lager, Natural Blonde a Belgian style wheat beer, Hatlifter Stout a creamy Irish stout and Moonshine an extra strong pure malt beer in the style of Scotch ale.

Manager Dan Fox says “this is a great opportunity to showcase some great southern hemisphere beers whilst incorporating an entertainment element into the weekend. The Grand Ridge beers have never been served on draught in the UK and we consider this an ideal chance for many beer lovers to sample a truly magnificent craft beer.”

Entertainment will be provided during the opening weekend by tribute act Ultimately Kylie on Friday evening and Jonny Cope & Guests, playing the didgeridoo & percussion, on Saturday Evening.

Weather permitting the ever-popular White Horse BBQ will be fired up and offering a whole host of Australian themed delights, such as kangaroo, crocodile & shrimp.

Friday 15^th October will feature an Aussie speed dating event held upstairs in The White Horse. Meet fellow Aussies and celebrate one of the Southern Hemisphere’s finest craft brews in what promises to be a hearty social event.

Trade Day; Tuesday 19^th October the Head Brewer of Grand Ridge, Eric Walters, will be showcasing his beers in an exclusive Beer & Canapé tasting session. This event is by invite only. Contact Jamie@whitehorsesw6.com for further information. 

Consumer Day; Thursday 21^st October will feature a 6 course beer & canapé tasting with Phil Harding, from 8pm upstairs at the White Horse. Tickets are £25, with limited spaces available. Contact jamie@whitehorsesw6.com to book a place.

The nearest tube to the White Horse is Parson’s Green on the District Line and the 22 bus stops a few minutes’ walk away on the other side of Parson’s Green.
