The People's Kitchen and Brake the Cycle proudly presents:
The Beggar's Banquet, an original fine dining experience! Enjoy three courses of world cuisine prepared by the talented Steve Wilson (Head Chef of the People's Kitchen) in the elegant, ballroom surroundings of the Old Boys Club, Dalston.
The People's Kitchen is a Dalston-based cooking project run by volunteers which provides an innovative and tasty solution to the problem of food waste. From plough to plate, over 20 million tonnes of food is wasted each year in the UK.

The Etiquette:
Experience fine dining with a difference. Our Beggar's Banquet will be prepared using waste food, sourced from many of London's most exclusive kitchens through Lumley's cooks. Enjoy Michelin starred food, prepared for the people, by the people!
Our Beggar's Banquet theme is 'Tramp Chic,' so dress down, look sharp and get those knees up!
The Money:
All proceeds will be donated to Brake the Cycle, a spanking new social enterprise seeking to empower young people and inspire sustainable living through adventure.

This Easter, nutritionalist and People's Kitchen ambassador Rosie Letts will cycle 1000 miles from one end of the UK to the other, helping to raise over £15,000 for two wonderful grassroots charities, the Otesha Project UK and AfriKids.
Incredibly, a whole £10 of your £12.50 ticket price will be donated to good causes, helping Rosie to reach her personal target of £1000. Now that, ladies and gents, is the power of salvaging food waste. Tasty!
The Entertainment:
Live band: Gorgeous George and the Hornstars (dixie jazz, funky rhythm and blues)
DJ: Byran Ceronie (swing, funk)

The Bar:
Fully stocked bar and at Beggar's Banquet prices, including an organic wine list and a selection of bottled beers and 'Cuckoo Club' cocktails.
The Giveaway:
To celebrate the coming of summer, festival tickets worth over £100 will be raffled on the night. Cloud Cuckoo Land is a boutique performing arts festival held in the Clouds, somewhere over Somerset's Mendip Hills. A celebration of arts, music and culture, Cloud Cuckoo Land is for community (not for profit).

The After-party:
Round 'bout midnight we'll be headed south to Passing Clouds for a 'gypsy mash-up' featuring the legendary Gypsydelica, plus Planetman & the Internationalz.
