Lineup and details
Once upon a time...
...there was a travel agency. And instead of taking you to faraway places, it could magically make them appear, for just one night, every month. It's back...
THE MAGIC FARAWAY TRAVEL AGENCY
Worlds arrive monthly on Fridays at:
The Mission Room, 26 Exmouth Market, London EC1R 4QE
Boarding cards £12, available from http://www.wegottickets.com/event/30707
This month - Ba-Narnia! A world of witches and winter and lamp posts and fauns, arriving on Friday 23rd May
Dress theme is BANANA YELLOW, although residents of Narnia more than welcome; think naiads and dryads, swashbucklers and beavers, witches and adventurous schoolchildren...
Get there early to read the promenade story written especially for tonight by children's author Hettie Barnes and drink in the magic of the land (it helps if you partake of the turkish delight vodka shots).
Guiding us through the land of Ba-Narnia will be Claire Benjamin as The White Witch and Mr Meredith the faun, and in their merry train are: Rachel Pantechnicon, performance poet divine; The Teak Show sketches hot from The Disestablishment club; Chris Cresswell and his Voodoo Vaudeville; the immortal Ruby Venezuela; and smooth soulful sounds from The Somerset Barnes Project.
Doors open at 7.15pm, lots to see and do till the cabaret starts at 8.30pm, then dancing till midnightwith DJ Verge.
It's a world away from what you're used to...
