Who Are We?
Portobello Acoustic Sessions at the Metropolitan are dedicated to bringing you the very best in singer and songwriter talent and has become a hub of exciting new music and brightest emerging stars. The experience is one that's truly special and one that you won't forget. The beautiful Lounge upstairs at the Met is complete with gorgeous wooden floors and furniture, large windows with velvet drapes and an open fire..it also has a spectacular decked roof terrace overlooking the pretty streets of Notting Hill. The Met is one of the most twinkly and intimate acoustic places to play in London. With its beautiful sound and atmosphere, it is a true gem in one of London's most urban and vibrant locations.

If you'd like to take part in the Portobello Acoustic Sessions, please get in touch with us via myspace and we will have a listen to your songs. Please bear in mind that we receive many submissions and it can take a little time, but we will come back to you. Please do not call the good people at the Metropolitan - they are the bees knees but unable to help with bookings. They will however serve you delicious beverages and food upon your arrival.
What's the Deal?
Portobello Acoustic Sessions are exactly that - acoustic. There is a minimal backline, with no kit provided, however, light percussion is welcomed.
We provide you with a team of lovely and enthusiastic guys and gals who will look after you from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. We have a top notch sound engineer who knows the room like the back of his hand and will ensure you sound brilliant and feel comfortable..and there are always a couple of free drinks for every artist performing. It's our job to look after you - you are special folk, and we wouldn't be able to do what we do without you.
We thank you in advance for helping us spread the word - the more the merrier. Your fans and pals will add to the already sparkly atmosphere and help make the evening even more special..we love a good crowd. Keeps us on our toes.
Acts should be no more than 3 people, so duos, trios..or come on your ownsome to blow us away..we love it.
