are the skiddle tickets still valid? | |
![]() devs Offline Points:5 Posts: 7 | are the skiddle tickets still valid? Just seen that sro audiences are dealing with the tickets! Does this mean are tickets from Skiddle are still valid? I REALY hope so as we've each taken the day off work & already got our train tickets. None of us have had an email stating any changes to our tickets. Will be VERY VERY annoyed if our tickets aren't valid! Anyone have any info on this? |

To clarify, the event promoter has decided to outsource the audience managment to SRO This means unfortunately Skiddle no longer have any control over the audience tickets, etc. This was a decision made by the promoter, so we do apologise for any inconvenience Skiddle did email everyone that had put themselves onto our initial list informing them they would need to reapply with SRO Any queries now about admission to the audience need to be directed at SRO Thanks |

![]() devs Offline Points:5 Posts: 7 | Re: are the skiddle tickets still valid? What a JOKE!!! I received NO email - neither did my 2 friends who I went with! Apparently 2 emails were sent which makes a total of 6 emails - NONE were received!! By law of averages I would expect at LEAST one email to be received!!! If you had been dropped by the production team to fill the studio, you should have ensured EVERYONE received an email!! Not just post a couple of lines saying re-register for tickets. I only saw the notice above on Thursday. By this time all three of us had taken time off work and purchased our train tickets. We were 1st, 2nd & 3rd in the queue at 3.45pm!!! We were told that because we were from Skiddle we would have to wait until they had gone through the whole queue to see if their would be enough space for us. They then let all the guest-list people in, then SRO registered people. By this time it was about 7.20pm!!! Skiddle people were told to go to the back of the queue but keep in the order we originally lined up in (1st, 2nd, 3rd for us 3). I would say they closed the doors with about 30-50 people left. They then announced they had 3 individual seats. As a gesture of good will by SRO audiences, they said we could put our names down and have guest-list passes for future events. Although this was a kind gesture, it's not what you want to hear after 3.5 HOURS in the COLD WINDY evening! It was now 7.30pm and their was just us 3 people & a couple (also registered on Skiddle) putting our contact details down for them. Luckily the guy (Gay MARTIN with a Yellow Coat) had a chat with the production team and managed to squeeze us 5 into the studio. This was a very emotional moment for us!! But seriously nearly 4 HOURS QUEUING in the COLD WINDY London watching as HUNDREDS of people go past you (as we were at the VERY FRONT of the queue!) is WELL OUT OF ORDER!! There was quite a few other people at the event who did not receive an email either! So SKIDDLE - it seems like it's you that have the problem! Although the tickets were free, it did in fact cost us a day's pay each, travel, food & drink!! It probably cost us £800 between us. Without the help from Martin @ SRO it would have been a totally wasted day!! I'd just like to 'Big Up' SRO Audiences for getting us in at the last minute. They did say it's only because we didn't kick up a big fuss & we not rude to them, that they helped us out! It was obviously not SRO's fault, this was purely down to incompetency from Skiddle!! The reason SRO took over is that on the first filming date, the studio was pretty much empty as SKiddle did not fill it and the team could not risk it happending again. That's when the production company got rid of Skiddle & passed over the ticketing to SRO. Last week luckily most of the Skiddle people were allowed in, as a few people didn't show (as is always the case with this type of thing). However this was the following week - so two weeks from the first recording & really it gave Skiddle time to contact everyone to ensure people did not waste their time or money! To be honest I will NO LONGER have anything to do with Skiddle. Lessons need to be learnt from this Skiddle. Talk about poor customer service! I will be removing my details shortly & would urge others to do the same!! I know all the skiddle people queuing behind us will certainly be removing their info from Skiddle. Good show - the two girls behind us in the queue - 4th & 5th - were right at the front & one of them even got James Corden's trainers! Not being funny, but that SHOULD have been me!! Would LOVE to hear what Skiddle has to say on this. Do the honorable thing & explain you errors to us - it's the least we deserve. PS - EVERYONE we spoke to said we should have been allowed in as we had been queuing for so long & were at the front. It's a shame the actual performers did not know what went on. We are the fans, that watch your shows, buy the DVD's, the downloads, the books etc!! Why the F are there probably hundreds of people on the guest list that didn't have a clue about what the show was & who was in it. To me it seemed like they were all mates of the production team rather than the stars themselves. Good show, BAD Skiddle! Rant over! Going to a much needed bed - the legs are still pretty much numb. |

We didin't get the email either, we spoke to SRO on Thursday who told us we didn't have tickets so we didn't bother to turn up. We still took the day off work. As it happens we had a fab day wandering around London, the only downfall was not getting the tickets. Sort your act out Skiddle, you got a lot of p'd off people out there. |

BenSkiddle Offline Points:2992 Posts: 2756 | Re: are the skiddle tickets still valid? Hi all I realise there are some frustrated people here, however it's very difficult for us too. The first event was run, and the audience figures were low due to people saying they would be attending then not turning up. Because of this the promoter decided to use SRO at the last minute, after we'd confirmed places with customers, etc. At this point we put a message up on the event to let future registrants know of the change of proceedure, as well as emailing everyone who had previously applied We realise this isn't ideal, it's a pain for us as we had a list of over 500 people who wanted to attend and then for whatever reason were told by SRO they couldn't attend. We've had quite a few people contacing us asking why they haven't heard back from SRO after applying. As you can understand we had no control over the guestlist once SRO were in control, so it was difficult for us to help anyone who had already taken the time off, etc. With regards the email notifications, an email was sent on the 12th November (as below). We also resent on the 13th as a few people had registered between the two dates, before a notice was put up We are positive this email was sent successfully as we had a large number of people contact us in response to it
We do apologise if some people didn't receive this - it's difficult to guarantee emails get through, especially when contacting a large number of people - and some of you may have found that work firewalls, spam filters, etc may have caused an issue. We did try to make it clear whereever we could and short of phoning 500 people's mobile phones there was little else we could have done (incidentally we make no money at all from this, so to call 500 numbers would have been a real expensive procedure!). |

BenSkiddle Offline Points:2992 Posts: 2756 | Re: are the skiddle tickets still valid? ps - We also passed on a full list of names to the event promoter, so I would have hoped that they could have coordinated with SRO for your names to be automatically added to their list? Obviously not ![]() |

![]() devs Offline Points:5 Posts: 7 | Re: are the skiddle tickets still valid? Thanks for the feedback Ben. I wouldn't expect you to call 500 people. What I DO have an issue with is the fact that there are people who did not receive either of the emails. I HAVE NOT received emails from you on either date. Surely it would not have been too difficult to have added a 'Read Receipt' so you can see who has actually read the email? Then if there were not people who had sent you a 'Read Receipt' you could try to make further contact by email again & possibly for even a 4th or 5th time. Failing that - a quick phone call to the few who did not receive the email. Or possibly a letter send '2nd Class'!! Two emails is hardly exhausting all methods of contact - and seems like an attitude of a company that is not interested in it's customers. Once Skiddle had been dropped, surely you could have necogiated with the SRO & the promoter to allow Skiddle people in aswell - therefore in the order that they were in the queue! Rather than just handing over a list and letting SRO & the promoter sort it out? You may not make money from supplying audiences for TV shows - but somewhere along the line -Skiddle are profiting from us!! Even if you aren't making money - customers & business reputation are pretty important! Apreciate the comments Ben. But put yourself in our position, do you think Skiddle did as much as they could? If not then I suggest you need to have a look at your policy on this for the future. I would not wish this to happen to anyone in the future!! I KNOW there were many more people who did not get the email - please show yourself!! |

BenSkiddle Offline Points:2992 Posts: 2756 | Re: are the skiddle tickets still valid? Of course we are interested in your feedback - not many other companies offer a platform like this for you to provide such comments, and I hope by the fact we're monitoring them on a Saturday it shows we do care! To be honest, if we realised that the emails hadn't got through then of course we would have taken further measures to inform people - although it would have run at a loss for us, it's important to ensure everyone is kept in the picture. As it happens we had very little indication that people hadn't got the emails until I read this today. We had a couple of people contact us yesterday, and a couple of bounced messages but this is usual as people change email addresses or just miss an email - we also had a lot of people reply to the email for more info? I'm confident that the vast majority of people did get informed fine. However, some people obviously didn't which isn't good enough. Read-receipts just aren't possible unfortunately as most email clients such as hotmail don't send them back. We do apologise to the people who weren't informed and hope you did manage to get in, but at this late stage where we only found out today, there was little we could do. I feel that we did everything we could, considering we had no control over the events on the night and had no way of checking who had reregistered. Please remember we offered this as a free service and the setup, running, etc done at our own expense. SRO are a company specialising in audience guestlists and were paid to perform this exact duty. As I said before, I would have hoped that SRO could have taken the names onboard as all your names were passed on in good time. SRO would have been well aware of people who applied through us - both the total number and the exact names, so they should have known how many possible people were going to attend and been able to spot if people hadn't reregistered? With all the information, I feel it's SRO who should have planned better? Also, it's dissapointing to hear they were running a large guestlist for people not really interested in the show? |

No email either (applied with my sister's account) couldn't go in the end, i complained to skiddle but they didn't send the email until the night before, when all the tickets were long gone. lost thirty quid on the coach fare and messed up our friend's weekend with the short notice, as we were going to stay with them. apart from that, i really, really wanted to see this show. really not impressed skiddle. sorry it was 'a pain' for you, but you can at least understand what we're on about, you can't dismiss our complaints because MOST other people got emails, how does that help? |
